WORLD REPORT EDITION TOP FIVE
Top 5 Girl Scout Cookies

On March 12, Girl Scouting celebrated its 85th birthday. For 61 of those years, Girl Scouts have sold cookies to raise money. In the 1920s they baked their own sugar cookies. Today two baking companies produce more than 174 million boxes--and at least 16 varieties--of cookies for the Girl Scouts.

Every year Americans gobble more than 8 million pounds of the stuff! Did your family help make these five kinds the top-selling cookies?

1. Thin Mints 26%

2. Samoas (Caramel deLites) 17%

3. Peanut Butter Sandwiches (Do-Si-Dos) 12%
