Today's Weather Fact...
On this date in 1972, a sudden rain storm poured 16 inches of rain just north of New Braunfels, Texas, overwhelming Blueders Creeks with a 30-foot-high wall of water. The water merged with the Comal and Guadalupe rivers washing away everything in its path. When the flood waters receeded, 18 people were killed, and the area was left with more than $20 million in damage.
