On this date in 1986, a supercell thunderstorm northwest of Houston, Tex., produced four tornadoes, microburst winds, and large hail. A tornado rated F3 on the Fujita scale killed two people and injured 80 others when it ripped through a trailer park. Total damages from the storm approached $80 million.
