Ken Richardson Biography

Ken Richardson invented one of the most important breakthroughs in the history of anti-fungal research, fluconazole. Richardson's development has saved the lives of millions around the world by treating transplant recipients, burn victims, chemotherapy patients, AIDS patients, and others. Born in England, Richardson worked in a lab during the day and took night classes for chemistry Trent Polytechnic to earn his B.S. He went on to earn his Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham. His research for Pfizer led he and his team to discover fluconazole.
