Bibracte

Bibracte bĭbrăkˈtē [key], former capital of the Aedui, site atop Mont Beuvray, central France. There Caesar defeated (58 b.c.) the Helvetii (see Gallic Wars). Excavations on the site have revealed a Gallic town.
