Franceschini, Baldassare

Franceschini, Baldassare bäldäs-sä´rā fränchāskē´nē [key], 1611–89, Florentine painter pupil of his father, who was a sculptor. He was also called Volterrano. His works include the Coronation of the Virgin, a fresco in the dome of the Church of the Annunziata, Florence paintings in the Niccolini Chapel, Church of Santa Croce, Florence and St. John the Evangelist (Church of Santa Chiara, Volterra).
