Chiabrera, Gabriello

Chiabrera, Gabriello gäbrē-ĕlˈlō kyäbrĕˈrä [key], 1552–1638?, Italian poet. He adapted classical forms to Italian verse and wrote graceful lyrics in the manner of Anacreon. Wordsworth translated some of his verse.
