Crerar, Henry Duncan Graham

Crerar, Henry Duncan Graham krēr´är [key], 1888–1965, Canadian general in World War II. He fought in World War I and later headed the Royal Military College. In 1940 he was made chief of the Canadian general staff. In 1941 he was given command of the Canadian 2d Division Overseas in 1944 he became commander of the 1st Canadian Corps and was made a full general, serving with distinction during the campaigns in Europe.
