Lenin Peak

Lenin Peak or Ibn Sina Peak, formerly Kaufmann Peak koufˈmən [key], 23,405 ft (7,134 m) high, on the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Also known as Kuh-i-Gamo [warm mountain], it is the highest point in the Trans-Alai range, and in the USSR its height was exceeded only by Communism Peak (now Ismoili Somoni Peak) and Pobeda Peak. When it was renamed after Lenin in 1928 it was believed to be the highest point in the USSR. Since 2006 Tajikistan has officially called it Ibn Sina Peak.
