Hochkirch

Hochkirch hōkhˈkĭrkh [key], village, Dresden dist., E central Germany. At Hochkirch in 1758 the Austrians under Daun defeated Frederick II of Prussia. In 1813, Napoleon I defeated a Prussian-Russian army near the village.
