Rogaland

Rogaland rōˈgälänˌ [key], county (1995 pop. 354,418), c.3,540 sq mi (9,170 sq km), SW Norway, bordering on the North Sea. The main towns are Stavanger (the capital) and Haugesund. The northern part, called Ryfylke, is indented by several branches of the Boknafjord. Important industries include shipping, fishing, food processing, and dairy farming.
