Sollefteå

Sollefteå sôlĕfˈtəōˌ [key], city (1990 pop. 9,379), Västernorrland co., central Sweden, on the Ångermanälven River. It is a winter sports center and has a large military garrison. Sollefteå has been known since the 13th cent. and was chartered in 1917.
