Uddevalla ŭˈdəväˌlä [key], city (1990 pop. 29,790), Göteborg och Bohus co., SW Sweden, a port on the Byfjorden, an arm of the Skagerrak. Manufactures of this industrial center include ships, textiles, furniture, and machinery.
