Asheboro

Asheboro ăshˈbərə [key], town (2020 pop. 27,156), seat of Randolph co., central N.C., in the Piedmont; inc. 1796. Manufactures include transportation equipment, furniture, small appliances, apparel, shoes, and lumber. A prehistoric Keyauwee burial ground is nearby.
