Bossier City

Bossier City bō´zhər [key], city (1990 pop. 52,721), Bossier parish, NW La., on the Red River, across from Shreveport, with which it is connected by several bridges inc. 1907. Barksdale Air Force Base, home of the Second U.S. Air Force, is the major employer.
