Texas Tech University, at Lubbock; coeducational; state supported; chartered 1923, opened 1925. There are numerous research institutes for engineering, business and industry, agriculture, and education attached to the university. The Texas Tech Univ. Health Sciences Center includes schools of medicine, nursing, and allied health professions.
