Dermot Mulroney

Television and film actor who has long been lauded for his respectable performances in both independent and commercial films, Mulroney nonetheless remains a somewhat unknown entity to the average movie-goer. He finally starred in a big picture when he landed the male lead in My Best Friend's Wedding opposite Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz. Also a musician, Mulroney plays the cello and mandolin in a punk-folk septet called the Low and Sweet Orchestra. Other films include Longtime Companion (1989), Bright Angel (1990), Where the Day Takes You (1992), Point of No Return (1993), Copycat (1995), How to Make an American Quilt (1995) and The Trigger Effect (1996). He joins Paul Newman and Linda Fiorentino in Where the Money Is (2000).
