White Deer tornado

On this date in 1947, a deadly, fast-moving F5 tornado killed 167 people from White Deer, Texas, to St. Leo, Kansas, including 107 people in Woodward, Oklahoma. Over 100 city blocks on the west and north sides of the city of Woodward were destroyed, with lesser damage in the southeast portion of the town.
