Apollo 11 lunar landing almost not broadcasted

On this date in 1969, high winds in Parkes, New South Wales, Australia, threatened to blow over the radio antenna dish that was relaying the video of the Apollo 11 lunar landing live to 600 million people around the world. Although, it was technically July 21 in Australia at the time, it was July 20 in Houston, Texas, where NASA's mission control resided and where the TV signals received in Parkes were sent before being sent around the globe.
