Not in Kansas anymore; storm travels 20 miles to Oklahoma from Kansas

On this date in 1959, a large powerful tornado traveled 20 miles from Hollow, Oklahoma, to Cherokee County, Kansas. Fortunately the twister was very slow moving and the accompaning roar alerted people and they had time to escape the path of the deadly storm. As a result no deaths were reported.
