KREBS, Jacob, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, Pa., March 13, 1782; attended the public schools; engaged in agricultural pursuits; elected as a Jacksonian to the Nineteenth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Henry Wilson and served from December 4, 1826, to March 3, 1827; resumed agricultural pursuits; died in Orwigsburg, Pa., September 26, 1847; interment in the Lutheran Cemetery.
