Because of that movie's staying power, Curry continues to be best known for the role, in spite of decades of steady work on stage and screen. Curry began on the stage and stayed in theater his entire career, with gaps for making movies and TV shows, all while working as a very busy voice actor. He often played villains, including in the movies The Hunt For Red October (1990, with Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin), The Three Musketeers (1993) and Ridley Scott's Legend (1985, starring Tom Cruise). Curry also had a flair for comedy, as the movies Clue (1985) and Muppet Treasure Island (1996) and the stage production of Eric Idle's Spamalot (2004-07). Curry had a distinctive voice and released pop records and voiced hundreds of cartoons during his career, most notably Nigel Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys (1998-2004).
