2004 Olympics: New Events

The 2008 Olympics in Beijing will include 302 different events will nine of them being new additions. These new events will include BMX racing in the cycling discipline, a women's 3000m steeplechase on the track and marathon swimming events for both men and women. In table tennis, a team event will replace doubles on both the men's and women's side. In fencing, men's foil and women's team epee will be replaced by women's team foil and women's team saber.
