Toy Story (1995)

Ok, so the Mouse House only released the films, but Michael Eisner and Co. were savvy enough to see the potential in Pixar's Toy Story, the first full-length film generated entirely on computer. It was a wise decision: the film grossed more than $360 million worldwide, won an Oscar, and has sold more than 22 million videos. At that rate, who hasn't seen Woody maneuver to win back his position, usurped by Buzz Lightyear, as Andy's No. 1 toy?

The sequel had big cowboy boots to fill, yet it surpassed the original Toy Story, both in storytelling and technology. The characters reveal an even more profound depth of character, experiencing the pain of having loved and lost. TS2 introduced a toybox-full of new characters to the big screen, including the much-anticipated feature debut of Barbie; the emotional tour de force, Jesse the Cowgirl; Bullseye the Horse; and Stinky Pete the Prospector. Bring on TS3!
