Today's Weather Fact...

On this date in 1987, the south central United States was coated with layers of ice and snow. There was widespread damage to tree limbs and power lines from Texas to Missouri. Electricity was knocked out for hundreds of thousands of homes and, in some cases, not restored for more than a week. The ice storm led to seven deaths.
