Pittsburgh Steelers defeat Dallas Cowboys, 35-31, 1978 Season
Super Bowl XIII Terry Bradshaw
Super Bowl XIII was the first ever rematch of the previous year's championship. Adding to the intensity, both the Steelers and the Cowboys were vying to become the first team ever to win a third Super Bowl. The Steelers would take this one, scoring two touchdowns in 19 seconds during the fourth quarter. Dallas attempted a comeback, but could not overcome sloppy play, including multiple dropped passes and turnovers. Pittsburgh quarterback Terry Bradshaw (pictured above) was named MVP and broke Super Bowl records for passing yards (318), and touchdown passes (four).
