The Question:
Your almanac says the country name "Bahrain" means "two seas." What language is that in, and what two seas does it refer to?

Bahrain means "two seas" in Arabic. It refers to the presence of fresh water springs beneath saltwater oceans; in some places, one can actually dive beneath the layer of saltwater and get to the fresh water underneath.
