I'm looking for a certain baseball record. Can you tell me what pitcher won the most consecutive games in major league history?
The Answer:
Carl Hubbell, of the N.Y. Giants, won 24 straight games between July 17, 1936 and May 27, 1937. (16 in '36, 8 in '37).
