Renowned professional wrestler called the Fabulous Moolah, who was a leading figure in the women’s circuit. Starting in the 1950s she wrestled, promoted, and trained other wrestlers for more than half a century. When the New York State Athletic Commission lifted the women’s wrestling ban the Fabulous Moolah became the featured attraction at Madison Square Garden. She was small, but made up for it by wowing crowds with her maneuvers. Ellison remained active in the World Wrestling industry until the end of her life.
