Natalie Portman

As displayed in feature films such asThe Professional (1994) and Beautiful Girls (1996), Portman has already mastered the cute-yet-poised character. However, she didn't become a household name until 1999's Episode I—The Phantom Menace, in which she plays Queen Amidala, a role she repeats in Star Wars: Episode II—Attack of the Clones (2002) and Star Wars: Episode III (2005) . She demonstrated her dramatic flair as the title character in Broadway's The Diary of Anne Frank (1997–1998). She was nominated for a supporting actress Oscar and won the Golden Globe for her role in 2004's Closer. Her other films credits include, Mars Attacks! (1996), Head (1995), Everyone Says I Love You (1996), Where the Heart Is (2000), and Cold Mountain (2003).
