Phyllis Schlafly

Schlafly earned a B.A. in political science from Washington University, an MA in political science from Harvard University, and a law degree from Washington University Law School. In 1964 she wrote A Choice Not An Echo, to promote Barry Goldwater's 1964 presidential campaign. During the 1970s, Schlafly and her organization, Eagle Forum, founded in 1972, worked to defeat the proposed Equal Rights Amendment. She publishes a monthly newsletter, The Phyllis Schlafly Report, writes a syndicated newspaper column, makes regular radio commentaries, and hosts a radio talk show on education, Phyllis Schlafly Live.
