Evans, who won three Oscars, collaborated with Jay Livingston to write a number of hits, such as “Silver Bells,” “Mona Lisa,” and “Que Sera, Sera” (Whatever Will Be, Will Be). Evans and Livingston were highly sought after in Hollywood during the 1940s and ‘50s, turning out song after song for films, which often became jukebox hits.
