Jack Valenti Biography

Head of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) from 1966-2004, who concieved of the voluntary film rating-system in Hollywood. He lobbied Congress for piracy protection and advocated free expression in film-making. Valenti was a close confidant to Lyndon Johnson and served as his aide in the White House.
