Best Known as: English poet and translator

English poet and translator who was one of the last living members of the Bloomsbury group. Roche is the author of a volume of poems called “rawsh” taught at many colleges and universities in the United States. His translations from Greek and Latin works published in the Signet Classic series are also well-known in the United States and Britain. Roche was also widely known for his 30 year-long relationship with Duncan Grant, the famous English painter and founder of the Bloomsbury circle.
