Tim Russert was a NBC news anchorman for over 20 years, reporting on politics. He was the face of NBC's "Meet the Press" for over 15 years, making complex political issues compelling and easy to understand. He started out at NBC as an executive working on special news projects. In 2008, his Sunday night edition of "Meet the Press" had over four million viewers each week. At the time of his death, Russert was also the chief of the Washington Bureau and senior vice president of NBC News.
