Morey, Charles Rufus

Morey, Charles Rufus, 1877–1955, American art historian, b. Hastings, Mich. Morey was considered one of the foremost medievalists of his time. His principal works include Early Christian Art (2d ed. 1953) and Mediaeval Art (1942). He was instrumental in returning to Italy works of art plundered by the Nazis.
