Sakellaropoulou, Katerina

Sakellaropoulou, Katerina, 1956–, Greek government official, president of Greece (2020–). A lawyer, she was appointed to the Council of State, Greece's top administrative court, in 1982, where she was an assistant judge (1982–88), associate councilor (1988–2000), councilor (2000–2015), vice president (2015–18), and president of the court (2018–20). In 2020 she was elected president of Greece as a nonpartisan candidate; she became the first woman to serve in the post.
