Molitor, Paul Leo

Molitor, Paul Leo, 1956–, American baseball player, b. St. Paul, Minn. Drafted (1977) by the Milwaukee Brewers, he was called up to the majors in 1978 and became the American League's Rookie of the Year. Joining the Toronto Blue Jays in 1993, he became a free agent in 1996 and moved to the Minnesota Twins; he retired two years later. Molitor's career statistics include a .306 average, 3,319 hits, and 504 stolen bases. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004.
