Abinader Corona, Luis Rodolfo

Abinader Corona, Luis Rodolfo, 1967–, Dominican political leader. After studying at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo, Harvard, and Dartmouth, he went into the family hotel business, the ABICOR group, eventually becoming its chairman. In 2012 he was the unsuccessful vice presidential candidate of the Dominican Revolutionary party (PRD), and four years later he lost the presidential race as the candidate of the Modern Revolutionary party (PRM), which was formed in 2014 after a split in the PRD. In 2020 Abinader again ran for president as the PRM candidate and won.
