Lukšić, Igor

Lukšić, Igor, 1976–, Montenegrin politician. An economist and member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), he was first elected to Montenegro's parliament in 2001. He also served (2003–6) in the parliament of Serbia and Montenegro. From 2004 to 2010 he was minister of finance under Prime Ministers Milo Djukanović and Željko Šturanović, and from 2008 to 2010 also was deputy prime minister. In Dec., 2010, Djukanović resigned and Lukšić, his chosen successor, became prime minister.
