College Park

College Park. 1 City (2020 pop. 15,053), Clayton and Fulton counties, NW Ga., a residential suburb of Atlanta; inc. 1891. Georgia Military Academy (1900) is there. 2 City (2020 pop. 34,740), Prince Georges co., W central Md., a residential suburb of Washington, D.C.; settled 1745, inc. 1945. It is the seat of the Univ. of Maryland, the Maryland Agricultural Experiment Station (1887), and the Archives II building (1994) of the National Archives. The city's economy is centered on the university, research institutions, and electronics plants.
