Fridley, city (1990 pop. 28,335), Anoka co., SE Minn., a suburb north of Minneapolis, on the Mississippi River; settled 1847, inc. as a city 1957. A distribution center with railroad yards and warehouses, Fridley produces rubber, plastic, and electrical products; machinery; aircraft; cosmetics; computers; X-ray equipment; and ordnance and weapons systems.
