David JENNINGS, Congress, OH (1787-1834)

JENNINGS, David, a Representative from Ohio; born in Readington Township, Hunterdon County, N.J., in 1787; attended the public schools; moved to St. Clairsville, Ohio, in 1812; studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1813 and commenced practice in St. Clairsville; prosecuting attorney of Belmont County 1815-1825; held several local offices; member of the State senate 1819-1824; elected as an Adams to the Nineteenth Congress and served from March 4, 1825, until his resignation, May 25, 1826; died in Baltimore, Md., in 1834.
