WILLIAMS, James Wray, a Representative from Maryland; born in that State October 8, 1792; completed preparatory studies; member of the State house of delegates; was speaker in 1830; elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-seventh Congress and served from March 4, 1841, until his death on Prieshford farm, Deer Creek, Harford County, Md., December 2, 1842; interment in the family cemetery on Prieshford farm.
