LENAHAN, John Thomas, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Jenkins Township, Luzerne County, Pa., November 15, 1852; attended private schools; was graduated from Villanova (Pa.) College in 1870; studied law at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa.; was admitted to the bar in 1873 and commenced practice in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; delegate to the Democratic National Conventions in 1892 and 1896; elected as a Democrat to the Sixtieth Congress (March 4, 1907-March 3, 1909); was not a candidate for renomination in 1908; resumed the practice of law; died in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., April 28, 1920; interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
