WILLIAMS, Lyle, a Representative from Ohio; born in Philippi, Barbour County, W.Va., August 23, 1942; attended the public schools of North Bloomfield, Ohio; graduated from North Bloomfield High School, 1960; served in the United States Army Reserve, 1960-1968; barber; member, Bloomfield local school board, 1970-1972; Trumbull County Commissioner, 1972-1976; elected as a Republican to the Ninety-sixth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1979-January 3, 1985); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Ninety-ninth Congress; member of the external affairs staff, Office of Surface Mining, Department of the Interior, 1987; unsuccessful candidate in 1992 for nomination to the One Hundred Third Congress; died on November 7, 2008, in Lordstown, Ohio.
