JONES, Robert Franklin, a Representative from Ohio; born in Cairo, Allen County, Ohio, June 25, 1907; attended the village school in Cairo, Ohio; was graduated from the Lima Central High School, Lima, Ohio, in 1924 and from Ohio Northern University College of Law at Ada in 1929; was admitted to the bar the same year and commenced practice in Lima, Ohio; prosecuting attorney of Allen County, Ohio, 1935-1939; elected as a Republican to the Seventy-sixth and to the four succeeding Congresses and served from January 3, 1939, until his resignation on September 2, 1947; member of the Federal Communications Commission from September 1947 until his resignation on September 19, 1952; resumed the practice of law in Washington, D.C.; died in Olney, Md., June 22, 1968; interment in Lima Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
