CAMERON, Ronald Brooks, a Representative from California; born in Kansas City, Jackson County, Mo., August 16, 1927; graduated from Western Reserve High School, Hudson, Ohio, 1945; attended Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, 1946-1947, and the University of California, Los Angeles, Calif., 1949-1953; J.D., Pepperdine University School of Law, Malibu, Calif., 1973; United States Marine Corps, 1945-1946; certified public accountant, 1954; member of the California state assembly, 1958-1962; delegate to the Democratic National Conventions, 1960 and 1964; elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-eighth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 1963-January 3, 1967); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Ninetieth Congress in 1966; resumed practice as a certified public accountant and attorney; Democratic nominee for California state comptroller, 1970; died on February 1, 2006, in Whittier, Calif.
