Garca Icazbalceta, Joaqun

Garca Icazbalceta, Joaqun hwk?n grs? ?ksbls?t [key], 1824?94, Mexican philologist, bibliographer, and historian. He edited the works of many early Mexican writers, compiled the Bibliografa mexicana del siglo XVI (1880), wrote the masterly biography Don Fray Juan de Zumrraga (1881), and translated foreign historical works, notably W. H. Prescott's Conquest of Mexico.
