Olmedo, Jos Joaquin

Olmedo, Jos Joaquin h?s? wk?n ?lm??? [key], 1780?1847, Ecuadorian statesman and poet. An ambassador to Paris and London after Ecuador's independence, Olmedo gained renown for his ode La Victoria de Junn [the victory at Junn] (1825), which glorified Simn Bolvar. His collected works in Spanish were published in 1977.
